The first canteen day of the year

It was beautiful and sunny at lunch time. Our front of house team from senior classes set up the eating space on the outside deck, over looking the swimming pool! Students had a tough choice this week between chicken curry and pizza pinwheel. Curry always has vegetables in season, we added some fresh courgettes from the garden today. It's madras based with extra coconut cream to make it mild for children. Pinwheels has plenty of home made basil pesto and silver beet leaves which might not be noticed by many students..! We offered them a little treat after they bring a plate back to the counter. A healthy frozen yogurt in stick made with banana and wild black berries. Look how happy they are! We will make it again next week:-).

Menus- Term 1 Week 3 to 6

Week 3 (21st Feb)
Chicken curry on rice OR Pizza pinwheels (V)

Week 4 (28th Feb)
Salmon and veggie sushi OR Bean and beef taco

Week 5 (7th Mar)
Chicken and veggie noodle soup OR Garden veggie frittata (V)

Week 6 (14th Mar)
Vegetable lasagne (V) OR Beef and veggie stir fry on rice

Meals are $4.00 each. We are getting many orders, thank you! If you haven't order yet, please drop it off to the office by Wednesdays.


More vegetables are picked up and boxed neatly for us by Mrs. Turner who takes a great care of the school garden. Thank you!!

Startup of the year
